New jingles from the team here at Music 4 now feature on all of the 'Real' stations in Scotland, Yorkshire and Wales and on the re-branded stations broadcasting across the northwest and northeast of England (previously Century Radio).
This package features a fresh new vocal sound from Music 4 and has been designed to maximise listener recall for RAJAR with the ultra powerful message "you're listening to Real" built into every cut. Sounds simple, but we reckon this is going to prove to be very effective.
John Simons, Group Programme Director says: "We’ve always aired high quality jingles on Real Radio and to coincide in with the re-branding of Century to Real, we were looking for a change of style. Music 4 came up with some great ideas for us".
Real Radio is one of the strongest regional radio brands in the UK broadcasting to key markets and successfully reaching millions of listeners every week. Working with the team at GMG has been an absolute pleasure and we are certain the new jingles will help take these stations to their next stage of development and make sure their listeners know for certain that they are "listening to Real!".

Chris Moyles has a new weekly show on Channel 4 (Sunday nights at 10pm) and has once again chosen to work with the team here at Music 4 to create the theme tune for the show.
The theme for 'Chris Moyles' Quiz Night' is performed live on the show by an eight-piece, all-female big band and is based on one of his favourite Music 4 jingles from his Radio 1 show called 'Morning Retro'.
On the show, Chris plays a topical quiz against the celebrity guests.
Live music’s growing presence on UK radio is to be recognised with the debut of two awards at The Radio Academy’s forthcoming Radio & Music Forum on Friday the 27th of March 2009.
The conference and award ceremony, which is being staged in association with Music Week, will include the first presentation of both a live music award for a concert broadcast on the radio and the studio session award.
Music 4 Studios has received a nomination in the "Studio Session" category for a session recorded with Grammy and Brit award winner Adele for broadcast on a number of local and regional stations.
Radio Academy director Trevor Dann says the purpose of the awards is to reflect the different skills needed to translate the live music experience onto the radio. “The entries certainly compare very well to the numbers put in for a Sony award”.
We'll keep you posted on how we do but whatever the outcome, we're delighted to have received our nomination alongside BBC 6 Music and XFM.

Chris Moyles, Fearne Cotton and seven other brave celebs have gone to Africa for one of the biggest challenges of their lives....they are walking for seven days to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money for Comic Relief.
Chris and Fearne are climbing alongside Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Alesha Dixon, Ben Shepherd, Ronan Keating, Denise Van Outen and Gary Barlow.
In addition to the main theme for the coverage of the climb on Radio 1, while Chris climbs the mountain, Vernon Kay is presenting the Breakfast Show and we've customised Chris' jingles to reflect this on-air change.
It's been a good day for 'star spotting' here at Music 4 Studios with visits from the legendary Robert Vaughn and Eamonn Holmes. We recorded Eamonn's interview with Robert, who talked about his life in film and television for Eamonn's radio show currently in production.

Music 4 regulars have been awarded Best Male and Female winners at the 2009 Brit Awards.
We're sending out more cheers to Duffy who scooped Best British Female, Best British Breakthrough and Best British Album. Congratulations also goes to Paul Weller for picking up Best British Male.
Like Duffy, Paul has been a regular visitor to Music 4 Studios over the past 12 months to undertake ISDN interviews for local and regional radio. On his latest visit he performed a live set featuring a number of tracks from his number 1 album “22 Dreams”.
The live set and interview was sent via ISDN to the USA in real time for the influential syndicated radio show “World Café”. We also recorded the set into Pro-Tools to facilitate additional mixes for future use by Paul’s record company and management. The set featured Paul on vocals and acoustic guitar accompanied by Steve Craddock from Ocean Colour Scene. Paul even added a live Cello player into the set.
