BBC Radio 1 Listeners make jingles with Music 4

Three competition finalists spent the morning at Music 4 writing and producing jingles for The Chris Moyles Show kicking off a day of creative challenges.

Natalie, Luke and Jack were told on air at 7.45am this morning they had to come to Music 4 and write a jingle each. Our studios, producer Small Paul and the rest of the Music 4 team together with jingle singer Richard Oliver were all on standby ready to go. The jingles were written and recorded and played out on air by 9.45am.. not a bad turnaround time!

The winners were treated like superstars (well, we gave them coffee and yummy croissants!).

The eventual winner will get to go VIP (with up to 20 of their mates!) to Radio 1's massive dance party in Torbay, Devon this weekend celebrating the arrival of the Olympic Torch on UK soil and showcasing the best in dance music.

Amazing Live Jingles for Chris Moyles on BBC Radio 1

As a special treat for Chris Moyles, Music 4 teamed up with The BBC Concert Orchestra, Pixie Lott, JLS, One Direction and even Radio 1's Sarah Cox for a musical feast this morning to celebrate Chris's birthday.

Between 8am and 10am, all of the jingles on Chris's show were performed live.

We've done live jingles before, but never with a 62 piece orchestra!. It was no mean feat keeping the whole thing secret but we pulled it off and it sounded incredible.

It was a real team effort between the show's producers at BBC Radio 1 and of course the guys here at Music 4.

We were also heavily involved with an amazing new version and arrangement of Pixie Lott's "All About Tonight" that was re-written by Comedy Dave to sing "All About Chris Moyles".

Check out some photo's from this morning below and you can see more pictures on the Radio 1 Website and if you have a spare half hour or so take a look at this amazing video!

Updated Jingles for U105 from Music 4

We're always very proud of the long term relationships we build with our client stations and U105 in Northern Ireland is no exception.

U105 ordered their first set of jingles from Music 4 back in November 2005. They have stood the test of time and remain on air alongside a 'new' package of cuts just delivered.

The recent additions include a full re-sing of the Wave 105 package from January 2010 plus re-sings of a number of jingles for the stations 'Golden Years' adapted from our fabulous Capital Gold package (originally created in May 2002!).

We always try our best to create jingles and logos that stand the test of time and we think U105 has chosen some excellent material from our back catalogue. We have worked hard with Maurice and the team at U105 to ensure they fit the stations output perfectly.

Audio coming soon.... Search 'U105' hear at Music4.com to hear previous packages.

Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave - Breaking records and saving lifes!

Congratulations to Chris Moyles, Comedy Dave and the entire team at BBC Radio 1 for the monumental, record breaking 52 hour broadcast for Comic Relief.

The broadcast raised a huge amount of money (over 2.6 million pounds) and created some of the best radio ever heard in the UK. It was also watched by millions of people on the BBC Red Button and Radio 1 Website.

Chris and Dave now hold the record for BBC Radio 1's longest ever show and the worlds longest music radio programme.

It was of course our great pleasure to create all of the imaging beds and elements used throughout the show including all of the post production featuring US voice talent Paul Turner (over 100 openers / id's and stagers).

New beds and mixes were also created as the show went out as we reacted to what was happening on-air.

We are extremely proud to have played a part in this record breaking radio show and we hope Chris, Dave and the team at Radio 1 get a lot of sleep this weekend!

And the ratings are in...

The latest set of radio listening figures are in (RAJAR) and once again, many stations using Music 4 jingles to brand their stations have had a fantastic set of figures.

Congratulations to Magic 105.4. Once again they remain the number 1 commercial station in London. Congratulations also go to Chris Moyles and the team at BBC Radio 1 who have also posted a great set of figures. Well done to all our other client stations who have seen listening increases in this latest set of RAJAR figures.

To do well in RAJAR takes a lot of hard work, great presenters, promotions and of course the right music selections/rotations, but a great set of jingles also helps stations to standout and be "recalled" when listeners are asked to fill in those all important diaries.
